When working with Vidsy and using Adobe After Effects, you can't use external assets, plugins or 'drag and drop' templates.

External assets: Due to licensing restrictions, you can’t use external assets when creating with Vidsy. We’re talking audio, image, videos, backgrounds, textures, effects, scripts etc. (even if they’re labelled as free). Please stick to the assets provided by the brand in the assets pack.

Plugins: We need your After Effects files to be completely editable by both ourselves and the brand. It’s important that you don’t use any After Effects plugins, as we won’t have them available in-house and won’t be able to make amends to your work.

If you use After Effects plugins and we need to make amends, it often means our
in-house creative team will have to rebuild your video from scratch.

'Drag and drop' templates: We need your After Effects files to be completely editable by both ourselves and the brand. It’s important that you don’t use any ‘drag and drop’ templates within your work, as some templates make editing a project incredibly difficult.

If you use a ‘drag and drop’ template, it often means our in-house creative team will have to rebuild the effect or transition from scratch. There are also complex licensing issues with some templates that may mean we won’t be able to use your video.
