If you see the brief label, 'Not selected', it means you weren't selected for that specific brief. There are lots of reasons why this could be:
CGC
Selection chance is a complex topic. When we're selecting creators for briefs, we're taking into consideration more than just quality. We're trying to ensure a diverse selection of talent and style across an individual project. That means selection chances can often fluctuate depending on who's actually applied to the brief.
In most cases, the lack of selection only relates to one thing: competition. We saw tremendous growth in 2024, leading right into the beginning of 2025, with a stronger pool of creators applying to briefs with every passing month. It's made it incredibly difficult to share the briefs as fairly as we'd like, and ensure talented creators are rewarded with opportunity.
We fully expect to see exciting growth in CGC this year, with more opportunities than ever before. To improve your selection chances, there are two focuses we wholly recommend:
1. Take the time to provide as much relevant information as possible when applying to the brief. We value authenticity and the application survey is the best place to showcase that you're the right person for the brief.
2. Apply, apply, apply. Please feel free to apply to as many briefs as you'd like. It really helps the team balance creators across projects and will increase your chances of being selected.

You haven't passed our vetting process (if you've never worked with us).
When you first apply to a brief with Vidsy, we'll evaluate your portfolio. You'll receive confirmation from us if you pass this vetting process.
If you haven't received confirmation within a couple of weeks of applying to your first brief, it usually means you haven't passed our vetting process.
We're primarily looking for motion designers who are:
Confident using Adobe After Effects, and are up-to-date with the latest skills nd techniques.
Talented at bringing still assets to life with clear and dynamic motion.
Skilled at editing content together.
It's essential that you have examples of commercial short-form content in your portfolio in order to pass our vetting process.
I've passed the vetting process, but I haven't been selected for a few weeks.
Vidsy is incredibly competitive and we're currently receiving an incredibly high number of applications. Our creator selection process ensures that briefs are shared as fairly as possible, so it's possible that there are creators ahead of you in the queue.
What if I haven't been selected for a Remix brief in over three months?
If you haven’t been selected for a brief in over three months, it’s unlikely that you will secure work with us going forwards.
This is not a reflection on your individual skill as a motion graphics designer, but a reflection on the intensely competitive nature of Vidsy and the unique way in which we operate.
We prioritise creators who have consistently performed at the highest level on Vidsy briefs. To ensure fairness, we use an algorithm-driven rating system that evaluates a creator’s performance relative to the wider community. By using a tech-based approach, we can effectively reward our strongest creators while still providing new creators a fair shot.
While we understand you may be eager for personal feedback, we're currently unable to provide individual assessments. This is something we’re aiming to change. We recognise the importance of transparency and we’re working towards offering more insight into creator performance in the future.
For now and the foreseeable future, we recommend focusing on projects outside of Vidsy. Wishing you continued success in your endeavours,
Team Vidsy.
