If you see the brief label, 'Didn't make it this time', it means you weren't selected for that specific brief. There are lots of reasons why this could be:
There are a high number of applications. Our creator selection process ensures that briefs are shared as fairly as possible, so it's possible that there are creators ahead of you in the queue.
We select new creators on every brief. If this was the first time you've applied for a brief, please keep flagging your interest.
We select the best creators for the brief based on their skillset, and we rely on portfolio links and previous Vidsy work to judge those skills. If a brief is a TVC cutdown, for example, or perhaps animating still assets, we're more likely to select creators who display those skills.
The standard of quality is extremely high. We're primarily interested in your creativity, technical execution, file organisation, ability to follow a brief, and the likelihood of you meeting the deadline. We have access to your previous briefs with Vidsy and will take these into account when making selection.
Your portfolio link could be stronger. It's important that we understand your creative skillset as easily as possible. Here are some top tips to improve your CGC portfolio, and here are some top tips to improve your Remix portfolio. Please also ensure that your portfolio link is publicly accessible and kept up-to-date.

What if I haven't been selected for a Remix brief in over three months?
If you haven’t been selected for a brief in over three months, it’s unlikely that you will secure work with us going forwards.
This is not a reflection on your individual skill as a motion graphics designer, but a reflection on the intensely competitive nature of Vidsy and the unique way in which we operate.
We prioritise creators who have consistently performed at the highest level on Vidsy briefs. To ensure fairness, we use an algorithm-driven rating system that evaluates a creator’s performance relative to the wider community. By using a tech-based approach, we can effectively reward our strongest creators while still providing new creators a fair shot.
While we understand you may be eager for personal feedback, we're currently unable to provide individual assessments. This is something we’re aiming to change. We recognise the importance of transparency and we’re working towards offering more insight into your performance in the future.
Vidsy has grown into a global team of over 160 members across London, New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto, working on some of the world’s largest campaigns. With this growth, we’re seeing more briefs and opportunities each month, and our aim is to provide even more chances for collaboration.
However, for now and the foreseeable future, we recommend focusing on projects outside of Vidsy.
Wishing you continued success in your endeavours,
Team Vidsy.
