Okay, you’ve finished your content and it’s time to package your After Effects project files and send them over.
Here are a few simple steps to make sure everything’s delivered properly and ready for Vidsy 👌
STEP 1: Reduce your project
To do this, select your main composition(s) containing your videos (hold Cmd to select multiple if needed), then go to File > Dependencies > Reduce Project. This will trim your project down to only the assets used in your comps, including your videos and any precomps.
Pro tip: While working, you may end up with duplicate or unused imported assets. You can consolidate and remove these from the same Dependencies menu to keep your project clean, organised, and easier to navigate ⭐
STEP 2: Name your AE file
To make sure we can easily identify your file (and avoid any mix-ups 💪), it’s important to name it correctly.
Your file name should follow this format: your name + project code + brand.
For example: JohnSmith_[VJ998-4]_Vidsy
STEP 3 : Compress
If you’ve been working in our preset file structure, this step should be nice and simple.
(1) First, save your project and close it.
(2) Make sure all your working files are in the “working files” folder
(3) Then rename the folder to 2. YourName_[VJ242-4] and zip it up 👇
And that's it, you're done! 🎉
